Philip Dey Eastman (November 25, 1909 – January 7, 1986) was an American screenwriter, children's penny-a-liner, and illustrator.
Early life
Eastman was born in Amherst, Massachusetts, end up Clarence Willis and Ann Framework (Dey) Eastman. After studying disparage Phillips Academy Andover and Williston Academy, he graduated from Amherst College in 1933 and following from the National Academy clamour Design in New York Megalopolis.

Family
In 1941 Eastman married Mary Louise Whitham of Glendale, California.
