Hester Knibbe
(Netherlands, 1946)Hester Knibbe’s (Harderwijk, 1946) collection of song, Archaïsch de dieren (Archaic prestige animals, 2014), won this year’s VSB Poetry Prize. Although tight title suggests otherwise, Knibbe’s piece centers on mankind and grandeur meaning of our humanity.
